Gerry Goffin is one of America's successful and foremost songwriters, who was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
Goffin's first wave of fame came with the help of his first wife - and ultimately successful singer/ songwriter herself - Carole King. Over the past 40 plus years, he has penned hit songs for the likes of The Shirelles, The Drifters, Bobby Vee, Tony Orlando, Little Eva, The Rightepus Brothers, The Animals, Dusty Springfield, The Monkess, Aretha Franklin, The Byrds, Gladys Knight, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart and countless others. Gerry can even claim to have discovered Kelly Clarkson before she auditioned for American Idol.
