DICK CLARK SIGNED LETTERS, VINTAGE PROGAMS LOT

SKU # NNN1224
Category: Radio & Radio Personalities
Type of Collectible:  Artist Signed Items
Decade:  The 70s
Price $200.00

World Oldest Teenager - Dick Clark - is one of America's best known radio and TV personalities. Of all programs and shows, he will forever be remembered for the legendary American Bandstand show, which he hosted from 1956 through 1988. After a nearly 2 decade hiatus, American Bandstand is scheduled to return to TV in 2008 with the popular "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

Norm N. Nite and Dick Clark become close acquaintances in the 1970s and 1980s when both worked for CBS. The highlight in this lot is a set of 6 letters, dated between 1978 and 1982, on Dick Clark letterhead, which are all address to Norm N. Nite and signed by Dick Clark.

Further included in this most impressive lot are:

- 1958 (October 4) TV Guide with Dick Clark cover (some pen writing on the cover)
- 1959 American Bandstand yearbook (the front page is damaged and taped to the spine, the back page is missing but the inside is otherwise clean and in excellent condition)
- 1973 American Bandstand yearbook
- 1970s Dick Clark original press photo (8 x 10 inches)
- 1977 2-page American Bandstand 25th Anniversary press release
- Late 1970s "Merry Christmas" mirror (6 x 7 1/2 inches) which was send by Dick Clark to friends as a Holiday gift
- 1982 30th Anniversary American Bandstand commemorative plate in original box, complete with a letter from Dick Clark to Norm N. Nite (signed) and dated October 12, 1981
- Set of three magazines from respectively 1971, 1990 and 1992, featuring Dick Clark and American Bandstand
- 1997 Dick Clark's American Bandstand 190-page soft cover book

All items are generally in excellent condition.
