It will be an early Christmas for Bowie collectors with this visually attractive lot of 3 most collectible picture discs.
For starters, there is the exceptionally rare 'Cat People' 7-inch promotional picture disc from 1982 (Backstreet Records), which was produced for the movie's screening on the closing night of Filmex, the 1982 Los Angeles International Film Exhibition. This disc plays the same track on both sides and features a black panther on one side and 'Cat People' logo and extensive film credits on the other side, including "Theme Sung By David Bowie, Lyrics By David Bowie, Music By Girogio Moroder" text. This is truly an amazing collectors' item.
Next up is the 12-inch picture disc for "Loving The Alien" from 1985 (UK pressing). This 3-sing EP is a promotional version and comes complete with a rare insert poster. Last but not least is the limited edition square shaped 8-inch picture disc from 1986 for 'Absolute Beginners' (UK pressing).
All three discs are in excellent condition. |
