Heralded as New Zealand's answer to "neighbors" INXS, synth-rock band Dance Exponents formed in 1981 and quickly became one the countries' most successful acts, opening for the likes of David Bowie, Rolling Stones and KISS on their respective New Zealand tours.
Featured here is a rare set of 2 authentic acetates in excellent condition from the band's third album "Amplifier" which by itself is a hard-to-find collectible. Recorded in August of 1986 at Sterling Sound Studios in New York, the acetates were eventually pressed on August 1, 1986 and come in the original Sterling Sound box. |
