When the Bay City Rollers paid a visit to the offices of 16 Magazine in December of 1978, an impromptu photo session was arranged outside the building at West 57th Street to have the band perform the duties of the cities' sanitation department....a good old sweeping of the sidewalk! While only a very few of these photos were ever published in 16 Magazine, this is your chance to see - and own - all 107 (!!) black & white images from this unique happening. The negatives come complete with their 3 original contact sheets.
Please note that all 35 millimeter black & white negatives in this lot do include full transfer of ownership rights. The winning buyer of this lot will, upon full payment and clearing of funds, receive a legally binding agreement from - and signed by - the current owner of the materials as offered in this lot, granting the new owner full title and complete ownership rights. For more information about (the content of) this agreement and ownership rights, please contact Backstage Auctions, Inc.
The negatives featured in this auction lot are generally in excellent condition. They have been preserved in a climate controlled environment and were stored in their original acid-free pocket envelops. Also note that the negatives as seen in this lot have, for the purpose of this auction, been photographed from an illuminated light box, which creates a slight blurriness and graining. In actuality, these negatives are of significant higher quality and clarity. |
