There's no higher compliment to a magazine than having one of your most favorite bands paying you a personal visit. In December of 1978 the Bay City Rollers did just that, which resulted in this amazing collection of 178 exceedingly rare black & white negatives, complete with 5 matching - and original contact sheets. The images show the band members in a very relaxed atmosphere thumbing through the most recent issues of 16 Magazine, chewing down on a sandwich and writing greetings to the readers of the magazine.
Please note that all 35 millimeter black & white negatives in this lot do include full transfer of ownership rights. The winning buyer of this lot will, upon full payment and clearing of funds, receive a legally binding agreement from - and signed by - the current owner of the materials as offered in this lot, granting the new owner full title and complete ownership rights. For more information about (the content of) this agreement and ownership rights, please contact Backstage Auctions, Inc.
The negatives featured in this auction lot are generally in excellent condition. They have been preserved in a climate controlled environment and were stored in their original acid-free pocket envelops. Also note that the negatives as seen in this lot have, for the purpose of this auction, been photographed from an illuminated light box, which creates a slight blurriness and graining. In actuality, these negatives are of significant higher quality and clarity. |
