With the world in full Rollermania and in support of their 1976 U.S. Tour, a full BCR special aired on network TV in the spring of that year. Featured here are 5 original contact sheets and 176 matching black & white negatives of that TV special. The photos were taken direct of the television screen and from a slight angle to avoid any possible glare. In all, this is a rather unusual photo collection but certainly appealing to the true Rollers historian, especially since this TV special has never been released on video or DVD.

The negatives featured in this auction lot are generally in excellent condition. They have been preserved in a climate controlled environment and were stored in their original acid-free pocket envelops. Also note that the negatives as seen in this lot have, for the purpose of this auction, been photographed from an illuminated light box, which creates a slight blurriness and graining. In actuality, these negatives are of significant higher quality and clarity. |
