Featured here is a most unique lot of 11 Atomic Rooster color slides from their December 22, 1971 performance at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas, where they opened the evening for Steve Winwood's Traffic. Among the slides are two unique backstage photos.
The original photographer of these amazing slides was Larry E. Lent, a Houston based independent concert photographer, who was mostly active during the 1970s and 1980s and is perhaps best known for his contributions to "Music News", Houston's longest running local music magazine.
The slides featured in this auction lot are generally in excellent condition. Some slides might have some surface spots which can easily be removed with a micro fiber cloth or - even better - a film cleaning agent such as PEC 12. The slides have been preserved in a climate controlled environment and were stored in their original acid-free pocket sleeves. Also note that the individual images as seen in this lot have, for the purpose of this auction, been scanned with a Nikon "CoolScan V" scanner.
