Featured here is an amazingly rare and near impossible-to-find Canadian concert poster, designed by Bob Masse, who was one of the most iconic artists from the 1960s. His distinguished style is famous for the use of a wide variety of colors and an incredible amount of detail. As such it is no surprise that his posters have become increasingly sought after.
This desirable poster, titled "Afterthought" is from a show at the Kits Theatre in Vancouver, Canada (January 6, 1967), featuring local acts United Empire Loyalists and Wintergreens. The poster measures 20 x 14 inches and has staple holes in all 4 corners as well as in the top and bottom center (however barely visible). Further, there is some light edge wear and a few modest spots on this otherwise phenomenal print.
The overall condition is VG+ and the poster has been stamped on the back by "Organic Arts" from Vancouver, BC. |
